About the Heart
Welcome to the Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center, the community living room where West Lakes residents and visitors gather to connect, learn, and thrive. Our intentionally-designed center owned by Lift Orlando provides convenient access to holistic health, financial, and lifestyle services under one roof.
The Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center is proudly located in The Communities of West Lakes within Orlando's 32805 ZIP Code. It’s part of the West Lakes Community Campus, which includes Pendana at West Lakes 200 units of mixed-income apartment homes and 120 affordable senior apartment homes, the innovative West Lakes Early Learning Center, state-of-the-art Jacqueline Bradley & Clarence Otis Family Branch of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, and Lake Lorna Doone Park.
A Look Inside
The approximately 30,000-square-foot, two-story building features first-class amenities. On the first floor, residents can access Legacy Café, the West Lakes Financial Wellbeing Center, the Florida Blue Center Orlando West Lakes, the Heart of West Lakes event space, and green spaces. Upstairs, Community Health Centers, Inc. offers comprehensive healthcare services, providing a vital, new resource to combat the area’s lack of access to healthcare services.

The Power of a Name
To ensure the name of the health and wellness center accurately reflected the community, Lift Orlando created a naming committee of resident leaders. The committee worked with Lift Orlando and its architectural team for several months to provide a crucial perspective in the process. Three names were selected by the committee before a community-wide poll was conducted to determine the final name: Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center. The heart reflects the mission and the vision of the center perfectly. Heart not only means care and support but also courage and fortitude, all of which abound for residents surrounding this integral component of the community.
Why The Heart Matters
In 2016, Lift Orlando received startling data about the lack of healthcare access points available to residents in and surrounding West Lakes. In response, Lift Orlando conducted a door-to-door, community survey in 2018 to understand the needs and desires of the community regarding wellness, and invited all residents to be a part of the planning process. 288 residents participated in the survey and the entire community had access to attend meetings, meet key stakeholders, and provide feedback.
Today, the 32805 ZIP Code still has limited healthcare access points and far fewer than its neighboring communities. The Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center’s amenities help combat the issues that accompany the disparities by providing accessible vital resources.

Free parking is available directly in front of the Heart and in a designated parking lot at the corner of Tampa Avenue and Jacobs Place.

Membership is not required to visit the Heart of West Lakes Wellness. All are welcome to visit the center to enjoy the many amenities made available to the community.

Lift Orlando, a nonprofit that strengthens neighborhoods so people can thrive, is the owner. It strengthens the Communities of West Lakes by providing mixed-income housing, cradle-to-career education pathways, economic viability opportunities, and health and wellness services like the Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center. This facility is made possible by Lift Orlando's proud funding partners: AdventHealth, Orlando Health, Florida Blue, Diebel family, Dr. Phillips Charities, Trisons Foundation, and Truist Foundation.
